21 & 22 September sees the return of our annual 1940s weekend.
Admire the vintage vehicle and re-enactor displays, enjoy music from Jayne Darling and the Goodnight Sweethearts.
Meet ‘Winston Churchill’ and ‘Field Marshall Montgomery’ just generally soak up the atmosphere on this special weekend.

Plus see a full size replica Spitfire, the only replica in the world with a working Rolls Royce engine!
You can book to sit in the cockpit and start the engine here (please note this is an external website not part of the Avon Valley Railway). All you need to do is select the date (Saturday 21 or Sunday 22 September and the time).

Steam train rides also taking place throughout the day from 10am – 4pm.

Don’t forget, our station car park is not in use this weekend. Enjoy a FREE vintage bus ride from Keynsham (near the Lock Keeper pub and Keynsham mainline railway station). Follow AVR event parking signs.

Due to this special event the entire station site will be access by ticket only, purchased on the day. We will, however be providing temporary toilet facilities at the station entrance for users of the Railway path.
